Dear friends,

We are happy to invite you to the Malmö Yamaha Piano Competition!

In 2021, 12th to 16th of May, we will welcome young and talented pianists from all over Scandinavia. This will be a great opportunity for us to discover new talents. Who knows, maybe some of them will be future international artists.

Our little pianists, who just started taking their first steps on their piano journey, will get a wonderful opportunity to perform on a grand piano in a big concert hall. Already from a very early age they will get a feeling of being a real artist and be able to overcome stage fright.

This competition could not have been organized without the support of our main sponsor Yamaha Piano Center Scandinavia, who sponsors us with a Yamaha Grand Piano as first prize in the older category. We would also like to express our big gratitude to Malmö Latinskola for providing premises for the competition, to all other sponsors with their donations, and to the people who helped us.

I would like to express my personal gratitude to the competition board. Without them I would not have been able to make my dream of the piano competition in Malmö come true.

Enjoy playing the piano! Give joy to the audience with your performance! Don’t be afraid to express your talent and individuality!

Good luck!

Artistic director, Yamaha Artist Scandinavia,

Julia Sigova
